Nathan Beckett

Nathan is a junior studying exercise science at BYU. He and his wife Andie love Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, Marvel Movies, and working out together. After graduating, he plans to go to medical school to become a physician.






Tanner King

Tanner was born and raised in Hooper, Utah, and served his mission in Washington DC. He is currently a Jr. at BYU majoring in Physiology and Developmental Biology. He is planning to go on to Medical school after graduation and currently works as an ophthalmic technician.




Officers:

Jared Bradshaw: New Members Officer

Jared is a neuroscience major from Orem, Utah. He has been in a few research labs focused on drug discovery, oligosaccharide synthesis, and foot biomechanics. Having enjoyed all three, he has grown to be extremely passionate about research and its importance.
Upon graduating next winter, Jared plans on attending medical school and pursuing a career in medicine after that.

Jared spends most of his time studying, working as a personal fitness trainer, doing research, and enjoying time in the mountains camping or rock climbing.

Matthew Hodgman: Research Officer

Matt is from Eagle, Idaho where he enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and trying new adventures with his family.

Matt is currently studying bioinformatics with a focus on researching neurodegenerative diseases. Matt’s research experience includes working as a research assistant in the Kauwe Lab for 2 years, where he was the primary co-author of the paper “CUBAP: an interactive web portal for analyzing codon usage biases across populations” published in Nucleic Acids Research. Matt now works remotely as a research assistant for the Ebbert Lab at the University of Kentucky as well as a web developer for a local biotech startup.

Matt’s greatest aspirations are to build the Kingdom of God, be a loyal and loving husband and father, and improve disease diagnosis and treatment.

Matthew Mella: Advertisement Officer

Matthew is a freshman studying applied mathematics at BYU. After graduating, Matthew plans to attend graduate school for robotics. His dream is to create algorithms through machine learning to program robots.

Matthew loves to ski at the many resorts in Utah, watch the Jazz, and learn about anything!
